Why isn't Pieowl free like Google Analytics?

You can try it free for 14 days, no card needed. After that, plans start at $9 a month for 10K events. That pays for the servers that store your data and the team that builds Pieowl.

What happens when my trial ends?

Pick a plan to keep going. If you don't, the dashboard locks and we stop collecting events. Your data is kept for 7 more days, then deleted. We email you before the trial ends and before anything is deleted.

Do I need a cookie banner?

Often not for analytics. Our tracking script sets no cookies and stores nothing on your visitors' devices. It counts visitors with a code made from their IP address and browser, mixed with a secret key that changes every day. But the rules depend on your country, and session replay needs your visitors' consent. Our docs page "Do you need a cookie banner?" has the details.

Where is my data stored?

In the Pieowl cloud, in the EU.

Can I import data from other tools?

Yes, from Umami, Mixpanel and Amplitude, right in your site settings. Imports from Google Analytics and Plausible are not supported. You can also send past events through our import API.

What happens if I go over my plan?

We email you at 80% of your monthly events and again once you go over the limit. Then the dashboard locks until you upgrade or your next billing period starts. We keep collecting every event, so nothing is lost, and we never charge for overage automatically. Requests from bots, AI bots included, don't count toward your limit.

How does the money-back guarantee work?

If Pieowl isn't right for you, write to us within 14 days of paying and we'll refund your payment.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from your billing settings, no call needed. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for. After that, the dashboard locks and tracking stops, and your data is deleted 7 days later unless you pick a plan again.
